  • Microblading Pre & Post Care - Fifty percent of the outcome of your brows is dependent upon proper before and after care. For your new brows to heal properly and to get the best results, Microblading Pre & Post Care Instructions are of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE. See Q&A Section for detailed instructions.

  • Expect to be at the studio for 2 to 3 hours – some appointments can take shorter or longer, depending on individual circumstances.

  • Day of Treatment –

    • Arrive with your brows drawn in as you normally like them, so we can discuss the shape you are aiming for.

    • You can expect to be at the studio for 2-3 hours.

    • You will first fill out some paperwork before we get started.

    • We will begin with a mini-consult, to discuss your goals and best approach for what you are trying to achieve with consideration to your skin type.

    • We will map and draw out your eyebrows, so you know exactly what to expect. We will also decide on a pigment color together.

    • Once you are happy with the shape, we will apply numbing cream to your eyebrows. The cream will need 20 minutes to take effect.

    • Your procedure begins. We only use a sterile microblading tool and disposable blade during your procedure. Throughout the process, you will be shown the progress of the work until you are pleased with the results.

    • Aftercare is a vital part to the overall success of the treatment. Before you leave, you will be given an aftercare kit, aftercare instructions, and the opportunity to ask questions.

    • We will take “Before” and “After” photos to be kept with your records, and with your permission for our promotional efforts.

  • Aftercare Instructions - Although you will receive full instructions after your treatment, and because aftercare is so important to achieving the best results, here is a small list of things you should know to do after your microblading appointment:

    • Keep eyebrows DRY during the initial healing process for 7-10 days, except during cleansing as instructed.

    • Do not touch, pick at, or scratch your brows at any time.

    • AVOID direct sunlight or UV exposure while healing.

    • NO Botox, facials, chemical peels/treatments, microdermabrasion, etc. for 4 weeks after procedure.

    • AVOID skincare products on or near brows containing active ingredients for 30 days.

    • In addition, after your treatment - If you have a scheduled medical procedure or test, please advise your doctor or medical technician of your recent microblading treatment. This may interfere with your medical results and/or with your microblading results.

    • In addition, after your treatment - You will not be able to donate blood for 12 months after your treatment as a requirement of The American Red Cross.

  • Results - Please be aware that color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper immediately after the procedure; this will reduce by 10-30%.

  • Healing Stages (days may vary for everyone):

    • Day 1 – 5: Brows will appear darker and thick.

    • Day 5-10: Brows will scab and flake off. They will be dry and itchy. Do not scratch, rub or pick at them.

    • Day 10-15: Scabs should be all gone (some can take up to 3 weeks). Parts of your brow may appear as if there is no color. The remaining color has absorbed under the layer of skin and in the following week it will resurface as skin cells repair.

    • Day 15-30: Your brows will appear their true color, but may look patchy. A touch-up is required.

    • Week 4 – 8: During your touch up, any small corrections can be made to fill in where necessary.

    • Please Note: While they will be long-lasting, you should have realistic expectations and understand the brows will naturally fade. Depending on skin type and lifestyle, our clients come back for touch-ups once every six months or up to two years.

  • Sensitivity - Although numbing cream is used during the procedure, slight sensitivity/discomfort may still be felt by sensitive clients. Remember that even though microblading creates micro incisions, they only get to the outer or superficial layers of the skin.

    • Expect more sensitivity during your menstrual cycle.

    • Delicate or sensitive skin may be red and/or swollen after the procedure.

  • Topical anesthetic advice:

    • Numbing cream/gel is used for this treatment. The products are formulated to be perfectly safe and can be purchased over the counter from any pharmacy/chemist. The anesthetic is placed over the treatment area for 20 minutes then carefully removed prior to treatment. As a result of the type of treatment, combined with the use of the anesthetic you can expect to experience some redness/swelling that can last 1 - 4 days. You should always follow your post procedure/after care instructions for the best results.

    • Allergic reactions can occur from anesthetics and/or products used during the procedure. If you encounter an allergic reaction, you should contact your doctor immediately. In addition, make your technician ware of any reactions. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include skin rash, swelling, or redness, blistering or peeling skin, wheezing, tightness in chest or throat dryness or any other symptoms associated with an allergic reaction.

    • We cannot accept responsibility if the area to be treated does not respond to the numbing cream. Every individual is different. Some clients report the area to be completely numb, while others may experience some discomfort.

  • Healing - Please keep in mind, brow treatments can heal differently for each person depending on several factors such as skin type, the pigments chosen and whether the aftercare advice is followed.

  • Touch-up appointment - Brow treatments are taken over the course of at least two appointments, the first appointment is where the shape and color of your brows are determined, and the pigment is applied to create your beautiful new brows. A second appointment should follow within 4 – 8 weeks for re-touching – this is where your technician will make any color adjustments needed or fill in any gaps where the pigment may have lightened or have not retained within the skin. A touch-up appointment is highly recommended to achieve ideal results.
